The final project on "college recruiter" that I completed, was done on the internet. I did not find too much information on "college recruiter" but bits and pieces on information about Charter College to write the paper. The "college recruiter" paper was similar to the information on the college, Charter College but with some alterations and other ideas. The "college recruiter" was about me as a college recruiter writing to both young and old college students and persuading them to come and apply to a college called "Anderson College." "Anderson College" was a "dream college" that could be a reality if promoted. It is a college where college students receive the highest quality of education from top professors and the highest quality in the facilities that they offer such as the cafeteria serving a salad bar and buffet style meals, dormitories separated by female students and male students that are far apart from each other by location, low ratio on teacher to student teachings to provide more help to students, and other high quality facilities.

I researched the final draft of my paper on "college recruiting" with resources on the internet. Some parts of the paper I enjoyed writing. Though, I had to read and reread several times before I made the final draft perfect. The researching wasn't so difficult but trying to put together the work cited page was the hardest part. It's nice to research and get ideas from the internet to write a paper. You are learning something that you never heard of and putting on paper but in your own words. Doing any research papers was never a problem with me. I usually do well on them and it is simple to write them. I'm not crazy about doing research project papers but I'm learning alot and in the future it might be beneficial.

The experience I had with doing the rough draft for the topic project about college recruiting is that I wrote the rough draft with a pencil and paper. I wrote the rough draft in my bedroom so I would be relaxed. And I was relaxed. But as I was writing, I find out that my writing on the paper was generic and bland. I did not know how to write the paper with excitement and with some pazazz. Hopefully, next time the paper will be polished and looking good. Luckily, the paper was a rough draft. I do better with writing when I write a rough draft one day and then the next day I read it again and I make corrections and changes. I do well when I do these corrections myself and it's kind of fun. The final draft for the topic project on college recruiting is due next week. I have not started doing the final draft yet but I do hope I get it finished soon and I do hope I get a get an outstanding grade on it when it is finished.

I chose to write "Free Downloads Play Sweet Music" as a blog. I thought it interesting because I love music. I always listen to the radio when I am driving, listen to my music CDs when I workout on my treadmill, and listen to my music CDs on my walkman while I brisk walk for exercise. I am always listening to music. But this reading talks about free downloading music rather than buy music CDs in which it costs about $15.99. I personally don't free download music because I don't use the computer as often for that kind of stuff. . It is said in the reading that downloads were "destroying sales," "ruining the music industry," and "costing you money." I agree to it that that part is true but the part where it's saying "costing you money" does not seem right. Why is it that it's "costing you money"when you download? I don't get that. It does not make sense. Downloading free music is absolutely free, isn't it? Or is there a catch? I am glad I don't download music. Besides I don't have time to download music anyhow. I just go to stores like Best Buy and buy a music CD. I think downloading is okay to some people. If you don't have enough money to pay for music CDs at local stores then by all means do free music downloading. It's free, it doesn't cost you a cent. But you probably have to buy a blank CD to download the music in.

The project that was identified in section 3.9 is "Why I want to go to California for my homestate?" I chose this topic to write about because when I first arrived at California in Los Angeles I thought it was beautiful. It was'nt a big culture shock to me because California looked a little bit like Oregon or Washington where I have lived many years ago. I loved the shopping centers that they have like Southcoast Plaza and outdoor malls. I also enjoyed the food there at restaurants which were not so expensive like Alaska. The weather was hot but bearable. The beaches were nice although I haven't set barefoot on the water. The houses in Los Angeles were amazing. I had the chance to go to Hollywood and walk on the sidewalk filled with many celebrity stars. Everything went well when I was in Los Angeles, California for a vacation except for the terrible sunburn I had that almost spread my whole body during the vacation. I'm thinking, next time that I do go to California, I will go to a tanning bed and get tanned before the trip.

My study habits is not the greatest like anybody else is. Usually, when I try to study I would read the book I'm studying for and concentrate on what they are trying to get across. But of course I would forget alot of things I am suppose to remember and my method is not the greatest. But I found a different method of studying and that is writing information down that is important on index cards. This, I think, is the best method for me because it forces me to understand what I'm writing on the index card. I try to read it over and over until I understand fully which unfortunately takes a lot of time because I do process things slowly. Studying can be fun if the right tools for studying works for you. I would still like to find other ways to study better and how it can help me. I am in a class, which is Excel, that at the tenth week I am to take the Microsoft Excel test. Before taking it I should look into studying the "Measure Up" study guide. I heard good things about the study guide and hope it will help me with studying for the Excel test.

I choose a supervisor at my workplace to write about ethos. This supervisor is not my supervisor at my department but he is substituting for my original department supervisor who is out of town for a while. The substituting supervisor is quiet but talkative. He seems like an ethos. He supervises very well and usually asks about how our department is doing and asks us a lot of questions about suggestions as to how to do a job. He supervise jobs that need to be done like for example, moving the vacuum cleaners to a middle isle of the store so that the construction workers can take apart the carpeting that is on vacuum department's floor. He does get a little upset when something goes wrong and curses a litte bit and sometimes he can be a little sarcastic. He also seems exhausted or overwhelmed about the project when there seems like there is alot that needs to be done, which is understandable.
